2x MCSS air cleaners, snorkels and underhood scoops to make my own dual setup. Fairly inexpensive and I wonder why I didn't do it sooner ??
Pro- more air and looks factory
Con - I couldn't fit this setup when I had a holley

Nice job. I have a similar air cleaner picked from a 3rd gen camaro but can't find the scoops and flex hose. where did you get yours from.

Sublime, sorry to pull this a little sideways

I could have picked up a complete MINT L69 Camaro setup from a friend when he converted to FI but thought his $100 asking price was crazy ( who's the crazy one now ?? ). We tried it on my car but I didn't like the way the plastic scoop sat on top of the rad support. I would have needed to remove my hood insulation to use it so I passed. It also didn't quite clear the gap between the AC Compressor and Brake Booster. My setup is homemade so it fits exactly where I wanted it

Mine is all stock MCSS stuff. Picked up the second air cleaner, ducting, scoop, and rad mount bracket for $25 from a fellow on kijiji parting out a car
Check out what somebody is selling NOS parts for on fleabay right now LOL but it will give you the part numbers to look for.

According to my research the 73-77 Monte, 82-90 Caprice / Impala, and some pickups all used the same V8 Qjet aircleaner, and ducting. Not sure about the scoop but I could easily fab up something in tin if I didn't have the plastic scoops.
I got the idea from MCSS when I first bought my car. I posted a couple pics of my build in the "what did...gbody today" thread last fall but here's the post that started it all for me. See how the ducting sits on top of the rad support ? I didn't like how that looked or rubbed on the insulation. I prefer to run mine down by the sides of the rad. This way you can support the ducting from the top instead of trying to rig something up to keep it from collapsing.

I am now on the hunt for new flex ducting ( at a decent price here in Canada ) for my car since last fall. Mine is serviceable but pretty beat up. Apparently the Dorman duct is a little longer but not as rigid
Stock Delco PN was 14068870 ( discontinued ), Motormite / Dorman PN# 96056

happy hunting
