looks good so far man! ok rust holes looks not that good and it'll take some good hands' work and lot of time to fix all that but it'll be worth it in the end! keep your head up and good work! good luck with the project man! 8)

Thanks guys,

Other than the blazer spindles upfront and the 12 bolt rear the suspension is pretty much all just original pieces cleaned up and powdercoated/painted, or stock replacement parts like bushings, coils and steering components. Did most of my shopping through Spohn perf.

Finally finished blasting the interior. Thanks to my procrastination I now have to complete all the metal/body work over the Winter. It's about 4 degrees in my shop, no heat or moisture control, now it's snowing!!! FML!. O well, makes things interesting.

Now I just have to grind down the exterior and remove any filler so I can begin patching/metalwork. I am priming the whole body with an etching primer, just to keep it covered while I work. It does nothing to hold back any existing rust, but after i am finished I will grind down any small rust areas and coat the whole thing in an epoxy primer.

After blastsing.

Thanks, yea the body is gonna cause some grief. I have yet to use my MIG welder with gas, just flux core. Will start practicing a bit before I touch the car. Most areas requiring work are hidden so not to worried about cosmetics. Almost anything can be ground down pretty anyways.

Started stripping down the exterior now, have the roof and 1 quarter panel finished and sealed, should have the other done next weekend.

I have some rott and other damage on the outer corner of the roof, just above the windows and inside along the interior bracing. I'm not sure if i will replacing the skin, i will have to take a closer look and review some how to's.

Question is, what is the metal material used to fill the seam between roof and quarter skin? is it lead? I removed a roof from a parts car, but it was a landau and was filled with seam sealer and bondo.

If I was to remove the roof skin, whats the best way to get rid of this filler? burn it? grind n scrape? What would I refill it with after replacement?
