So the alternators harness was converted to work with the old style Monte wire harness?

Always keep in mind..Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good!

Bring it back to the store have them charge it and do a load test on it.

im a mechanic, i got it from my ac delco parts dealer... the load test on it was ok... i can swap it out as a defect if i continue to have the problem but there definitely is a draw on it... just after a week or so its stone dead... there is no wire harness anymore. the alternator is a 4 wire plug harness with 1 wire, with a diode wired in that runs to a switched 12+v that tells the alternator to charge. holley makes the wire

final welded the exhaust today... so mechanically all that is left at this point is to weld the flange that is tacked onto the header at the collector, weld or bolt up some exhaust hangers and bolt it up...

then the interior.. finish TESA taping the harness, put the dash back in, connec the new gauge cluster, hook up tach.

then the interior part 2 : pull bench, carpet, etc; install buckets, console, console shifter, new carpet etc;

mount up new tires on my new rims and drive it... sounds simpler than it is...

Like I said before, you are moving at the speed of light. You'll be driving that hot rod in no time. Keep up the great work.

I'm jealous of how fast you've built your car. Mine hasn't run since late 2014.
