I saw your reply in my build thread, and I'm about to try swapping the nipple out. Really pi$$es me off that I paid extra for this "Gbody Direct Bolt in" for extra money over a Northern or Summit 2 row and had to deal with the same headaches but would have at least saved myself some money.

For what it's worth, just gong to throw in 2 cents in case future readers "search" this thread...
I spent a lot, and I mean LOT of time reading about all the radiator companies I could find a before buying one.
You'd be surprised how many companies used the same part number for a number of different cars, but, expect you to "slightly modify" for the differences.
FWIW, I went with a summit branded aluminum after looking at lots of measurements and comparing pics of where their tank flanges were compared to my car, etc.
Inspected in person, dropped it right in, a direct fit, no trimming or mods required.
Maybe I got lucky. Maybe it depends on the day of the week yours gets made. I DO know my unit had been opened/returned before I got it, but, plastic bag was factory sealed. Someone maybe didn't like the fit in their application?
Wow, I commented on this way back when it first started and forgot about it.
I cant believe you went through this crap but its the biggest reason I'll never buy another aluminum radiator again. Ive got a 3 row in my basement that came in my 81 when I first bought it. After all the crap that I went through with the Griffin I saved it for the wagon. I spent stupid money and bought a copper brass 4 row for the 81. It was a factory fit. If I had the extra cash I'd probably by one for the wagon but I have too many other things to buy. I never knew Summit sold copper/brass radiators. I'll have to look at them.
Last week I bought a new condensor for the wagon from Autozone. It was just under $100. Ordered it Thursday and it came to my door on Friday. By the end of the day it was being returned to the local store. It was made like crap. The ends wouldnt fit right in the rubber saddles. Sound familiar ? This one was made by Spectra. The blocks were too wide to fit correctly. Advanceauto has a different style made for Carquest but theyre out of stock in the warehouse and they had no idea when theyre going to have more. I guess there was a sudden need for 85 Cutlass condensors. SMH
Now the hunt is on for another simple part.
Today I called NAPA looking for the new plug for the compressor ony to find the closest store is closed due to two of the staff having C19. The 3rd guy working there found out he can make more money on unemployment so hes not there anymore. Unreal. So now I have to travel 35 minutes tomorrow to a store up west that ordered the plug from the warehouse in NJ. I hope it will be there when I call. lol
Probably gotta call them in that case.
If you go through the online checkout it wont allow Canadian orders.
Price looks OK,but I would hazard a guess that you could double the US price by the time your rad was delivered.
