Does “Optima Jim” still work for Optima though? Not sure if that changed when Johnson Controls sold it off.

I did buy new Optima red top’s for my toy cars this spring, the wagon and SS. The LS’ Optima is on year 11 or 12 now. Weak if sits for weeks but if driven here and there starts up fine.

I just did a search, and found no independent information about Yan Feng at all, zero. Only their own sites and releases.

it’s funny that most guys will drop a 100 pub tab like nothing , but won’t pay 100 extra for a quality car part .

Johnson Controls wanted out of the volatility of the automotive Industry and sold the business to Yan Feng automotive.

Optima themselves say they are owned by Clarios, who say they are owned by Brookfield Business Partners, who are owned by Brookfield Asset Management of Toronto, who are rumored to have links to the Saudi royal family. I see nothing about Yan Feng.

I frequent bars with 20oz pours off draft for $2 with a decent catered buffet at happy hour. Then again, if I felt like slumming it I go for the 50 cent schlitz.

YanFeng did not purchase the battery business from Johnson controls. They have nothing to do with Optima. Johnson controls still owns the power solutions business but apparently sold optima battery specifically to Clarios. They still make lithium ion batteries.

I don’t go to the pub to drink draft beer that’s a good way to get hungover
I go to pubs for the good food and double Appleton’s and coke
Do it with a couple buddies you have a hard time not eclipsing that hundred dollar bill
And it’s worth it

I live in Canada with winter at -24 C. I used to buy Delco Years ago when they came from the USA. Now I buy the medium priced batteries from NAPA. Two of our Vans run with the same battery now for 10 years
