Our 79 Monte Carlo- Pro Touring Project

Is that violent shaking at the fastest part of the course that race track? Or, running up against some G-body aerodynamic buffeting limitation?

Looks like [what] 130mph or so? Hard to tell on video.

Sorry, I am just uncontrollably curious.

This is cool stuff . . . thanks for sharing!
Now, if I could only get mine done!

Not violent shaking. The car is super smooth. It's just a harmonic from our lame Go Pro mount.

Yes, Dakota Digital says 128 but I like 130 better...

Our new UMI Afco's combined with the new pavement at Pitt Race make for a nice experience. If you look in Roger's in-car video you can see how dead straight it tracks down the front stretch.

Good answer! I feel better . . .

I can't believe I guessed that close on the speed. Off by 2mph?

Yet, I will lose a coin toss 9 out of 10 times . . . go figure!

We recently ran Optima Ultimate at New Jersey Motorsports Park. This is the fastest straight we've ever run, as the final corner exit dumps you onto the straight at about 85 mph. The green car pulled 7000 in high gear entering turn one. Right about 138 mph.

Holy crap, 140 right into a turn into a streets of San Francisco, um, speed bump? Seems like you were taking it pretty good though. Elky needs to dial in those brakes a bit . . . of course, with that light *ss end maybe they just can't? Get expensive keeping tires on that ole girl.

Cool stuff, thanks for sharing!

The Green Machine is now at Petermanbuilt Custom Shop to get some aero.

Nate Peterman is our in-house designer and engineer who also happens to be a sheetmetal wizard.

We are excited to get some downforce in this thing.

Regarding the downforce have you altered the bracket for the upper control arms so you can use equal length control arms? As you are aware the position of the bracket for the upper control arms is set up for an anti dive front suspension which is not what you want when trying to plant the front for cornering.
