I usually have to be in the right mood to do justice to the piddly little details.
When I woke up this morning, I could tell this was gonna be one of those kinda days.
Since my OCD was obviously starving and in need of some sustenance, I took advantage of it and let it go full carnivore mode on the remaining headlight trim rings.
All four got the full treatment, tweaking and straightening the mounting tabs, tapping out the rock dents, straightening the edges, filing everything flat, and removing the rust residue before giving them the ‘ol brushed finish.
The section of old railroad track makes for a great anvil.
Done:
Well at least the bugs have something nice to stick to now when I blast down the highway at a bazillion miles an hour.
