Thank you for all the support and compliments guys! Today was an absolute perfect day - bright blue skies, sunny all day long, and temps in the 70’s. Just what I was hoping for and needed to get Olds Cool cleaned up before it’s date with the booth.
First up, I began by warming the car up in the garage, then backed it out into the alley and gave it a real good blow off inside and out. Man she was dusty! I had borrowed a pressure washer from a friend, so I hooked it all up to the garden hose and gave under the hood, inside the wheelwells, and the wheels and tires themselves a thorough blasting.
Inside all the doors, jambs, cowl, trunk gutters etc all got a good cleaning and drying with some mild soap and water and a couple of microfibre towels. The primed and sanded surfaces all got a gentle but thorough wipe down with clean water on a damp towel as well.
This thing almost looks like a whole different car now!!!
It’s looking great from nearly every angle, even despite being all torn down. It definitely put a smile on my face seeing it all cleaned up and knowing it’s ready to paint.
Once it was all nice and clean again (it’s been over a year and a half since the last time that happened), I snapped the pictures I promised y’all, and even took a 360 degree video with it idling.
Hope you enjoy.
What a great day.
