Sorry about the setback, Donovan, can’t imagine how frustrating that was to find! And on the last damn panel. Take a day or two to regroup, and head back out there loaded for bear. So close to spraying paint, keep it up. 👍
I reverted back into flat rate mode and got after it hardcore tonight. Yes I know I ran the ever loving crap out of the primer, but I don’t care. I just wanted lots of material to work with there. It’ll block sand out just fine.
This better be the last thing to go wrong because I used up the last little dribs of high build I had left and I’m not buying more. Tomorrow night, block the area with 220, DA after with 320, wet sand the whole fender with 400 and send it.
Flat rate mode... Just another minor detail to work out... no big deal, you've already fixed it. That's what winners do... they get right back on the horse. Luckily you still have (2) weeks before paint.
Guys, I know it’s been a long haul over the last three years watching and reading my updates as I’ve worked my way through this, and y’all have been absolute troopers for tolerating it.
For that, and especially for those of you who have stayed with it from the beginning, I sincerely thank you. It’s been quite the ride. So to commemorate this occasion, I’ve put together a series of split image pictures, a sort of before and after just to remind everybody what I started with and how far it’s come.
Hope you enjoy.
That car has come a long way, you’ve done an amazing amount of work to save her from the scrap yard. Great job, Donovan, very much looking forward to seeing her in paint!
