BUILD THREAD Project Olds Cool (Recognition!!)

Wish I could brother, but my OCD won’t let me start something else until one is finished to my standards/expectations.
😐

Well your first mistake was tricking yourself into believing there was a state of "done" that was achievable.

You need to be more like me, have no standards or expectations and this thing would be done already😁.

You must not have been paying attention for the last 345 pages, because that simply ain’t in my DNA...

You missed the part where I said “my version of finished to my standards and expectations”.
😉

No I didn't. And I should clarify because I have the definition of "good enough" laid out on a honey do list for every vehicle. It's a moving target and no matter how hard I try to "finish" one while the rest patiently await, it'll never happen. So I jump around from car to car fixing/modding the things that either have a bigger 2nd order effect by neglecting that problem or by addressing the flavor of the week which is dictated entirely by mood. And your mood, good sir, needs to favor the Juggernaut because that's what we the people want. 😀

And done. No big deal, like I said just more time and material.
Spotted in the burn through spots, then re-cleared the whole door with 3 coats of PPG EC530.

I’ll have to re-wet sand the whole door again in 2000, but that ain’t but a thing.

The reason I burn through so easily on this thing is because I was STRONGLY recommended to not apply more than 3 coats initially. Otherwise I was told some catastrophic things could happen. These new environmentally friendly clearcoats aren’t like the old ones where you could just keep pounding coats on to have material to work with. So that’s what we did, only 3 medium-wet coats were applied in the booth. But the downside is less room for error in the wet sanding process.
Oh well, it is what it is, and I’m dealing with it as I come across it.

Oh, and if y’all didn’t like today’s paint touch up and blending post, ya probably won’t like many of the others to come this winter. I’ve got a handful of areas like this that I have to go back and fix, so you’ve been warned!
