Well, good to know Olds isn't the only one with different pointers and balancers for early and late motors. Also a tiny, crappy hub vs the full balancer, usually on the low performance motors for the Olds V8. My fix is a late balancer and internal balance my 330 forged crank=$$$. Hopefully the weight is right for balance, I assume it is externally balanced. There is always these kind of fixes in the aftermarket. I am cleaning my shop, just beyond horrible. If mine ends up like your messy shop, I will call it a win😁.

It ain’t nothing special, that’s for sure. Upgraded factory deck and 6x9’s in the package tray and that’s about it. I’ve got a couple amps and a Kicker 10” sub I could throw in it, but I don’t want to have an aftermarket deck in the dash. Trying to keep it factory looking inside as much as possible.

Christmas in March today.

Brought home the parts I blasted and painted (yes, I snuck the new diff cover in there too)...

... and then when I got home the missing RockAuto package showed up along with the new MSD timing tapes from Amazon.

Oil filter, thermostat, water pump, fuel pump gaskets, and a new crankshaft seal. That should about cover the needed parts for now, time to get to work I guess!

You can have whatever POS deck you want in the dash and use a Bluetoof-ready receiver sending tunes from your phone.

If it makes you feel any better? My engine makes all kinds of funny noises after I put that TE60 on there. I would put it back together and full send it. It will either go or blow!
