Well, good to know Olds isn't the only one with different pointers and balancers for early and late motors. Also a tiny, crappy hub vs the full balancer, usually on the low performance motors for the Olds V8. My fix is a late balancer and internal balance my 330 forged crank=$$$. Hopefully the weight is right for balance, I assume it is externally balanced. There is always these kind of fixes in the aftermarket. I am cleaning my shop, just beyond horrible. If mine ends up like your messy shop, I will call it a win😁.
