Glad it worked out for you. I keep on good terms with the shop I worked at on Saturdays because they have a tire machine and balancer. I had the rims on my daily drivers ruined twice by people I trusted.
There have been well known issues with browning letters with the now Mexican made BFG's. I also had Cooper tires years ago that were blah. Many have switched to the Cobra and now run them over the BFG's. I have both now on my 70S. The black wall side on the BFG 225/70R14 on the front look like *ss compared to the Cooper, almost brown, date coded 2017. The two 275/60R15 Cobra's so far look far from flimsy and their Cobra blackwall looks cool. I need to put serious miles on them but so far so good in the 3 years I have owned them, 2019 date code. People either love them or hate the Cobra's and little in between.Coopers....no. Just no. When I bought my gray 85 from the PO, he had JUST put new Cooper Cobras on the car. Win for me as I saw it, although I'd never had them before. Lord those tires sucked. Seemed like the sidewalls were 1 ply. Some people may like them, but I was not impressed. BFGs are better than Coops all around. JMO.
Not a fan of the BFG either, only good for a snow tire with their out dated tread. We will have to agree to disagree.I've never been a fan of the tread pattern on the Cooper Cobras. Almost looks like a snow tire to me. Way too much gap between the tread blocks. Plus the rubber seems hard as a rock. JMO

The car ran great on the way up, absolutely nothing bad to report. Not very sunny today, but as long as the rain holds off it’ll be a nice day. Already ran into a couple of G body owners, including fellow member @ranlett.
