Convert it to battery hot & never worry about locking things in the trunk like that. I'm doing that as part of the RKE conversion since newer cars only lock out the switch when the car is out of park.

Not a bad idea.

Not too much to report in ole Rktpwrd’s world lately, things have been pretty slack post knee drama.

I did get the wiring in behind the glovebox and the remote trunk release button all put back together properly this morning tho, as well as cleaning the murdered bugs off the windshield and front bumper from the show and drive last weekend. I was going to take it out for a little spin afterwards today, but the threatening storm and hail clouds put an abrupt end to that idea.

Instead I chose just to hang around the house and do some mild yard work. Cut the grass, and now waiting on the BBQ for dinner. The house and property are looking pretty good now at least.

Yeah the hedge could use a trimming, but I’m trying to get it fuller and taller. It’s ok for now. Even the little Charlie Brown tree we planted last year is doing well.

Weather is supposed to be absolute crap for the next week and a half, so it looks like I should be able to get some time in on The Juggernaut instead.

Glad to see you out enjoying the ol’ girl!

The trunk switch on the “Chief” is always hot… don’t know if they just did that at the end of the g-body run or what….
