Yea a bigger tire diameter lowers it to 1717 so.. that is strange indeed haha....

With my TH400 and 255/60r15 tires I was running at 17-1800 rpm at highway speeds.

I agree, something doesn't add up. I have a 2:78 rear, 205-75-15 tires, and I turn 2000 rpm at 55 mph. Maybe your speedo gear is wrong?

HA! I do the same thing. But then why are you spinning so high? Strange.

you're guess is as good as mine. i even had someone pace me after i installed the rally cluster and i was only off four mph at 60. and to be perfectly honest, i'm not entirely positive my car could break the 85 mph mark on the speedo

no, it can. i'd love get this pig to \drop 800 rpm at highway speeds. might actually keep me from selling it

have you never has the cover off to change the diff oil and check the gear ratio you have?..

if you go back to the FIRST post, you will clearly see pictures of my OPEN rear end. and i also posted a few after that that my ratio is 48:21 or 2.29:1

if you are asking if i've had the cover off before this incident, yes i have. changed the fluid once and considered changing gear ratios until my job moved further away

Glad I could help ya out with the rear end. Hope everything works out.
