Has anyone installed a 4 point roll bar and ran the brace through where the seatbelts go instead of running them through the back glass to the bed. I seen this on a 10 sec el camino at Cecil co dragway that passed tech and I want to do mine like that but want mo re info on it. Any input appreciated

So you mean run the rear bars down inside the cab in front of the rear window instead of through the rear window? I don't see why that wouldn't work. You might want to look into how far the rear down bars have to travel from the main hoop before they mount to the frame from the rules side of things.

The only rules for roll bar is :
1. Must be 5 point to be legal for 11.49 or faster
2. Rear brace must attach to main hoop no more than 5" down from top
3. Rear brace must be at least 30 degree angle from vertical.

A 30 degree angle might be tough to keep inside the car. If the rear brace bars attach 4' high, the SIN of 30 degrees is .5, so the rear brace bars would go to the frame 2' behind the main hoop, minimum. I don't think and Elky has 2' behind the main hoop.
