Stupid things buyers/sellers do

In addition to what the person claims to have spent on the car, (always divide by 4), I think it’s a joke when they say it’s a ‘collectors item’. Let me determine if if I want to buy it or not. Saying that it’s a ‘collectors item’ makes me move on. Besides, the price is usually inflated.

Here's another "awesome" CL ad. Must have too much to list so he kept it simple: "Some parts call with what you need to see if I have it".

The fitting reward is he'll get 100 idiots asking if he has a cowl hood, GN rear, tach dash, good dash assembly, aluminum core support, mint sail panels, posi rears, 78 taillamps, euro lenses, console, buckets, floor shift tilt, manual tilt, manual trans linkage/pedal....you know, all the stuff EVERYBODY is looking for

Yeah when all he probably actually has is a cracked steering, wheel a few rusty ashtrays, some chalky door panels with speaker holes cut with a chainsaw , a sweep cluster with a broken lens, a ripped bench seat, a 305 that knocks, some twisted and rusty bumpers ect ect.

I'm selling a Alpine 5 channel amp. One guy that is interested asked me if he could test it before buying. I said sure and he can try it out in his car but he said he hasn't done the wiring to add an amp. He asked if I could test it in my car...I have my system installed with 2 amps so I told him I am not taking it apart. I figured the deal was dead but he came back and just wanted to test it to see if it turned on and asked me what my best price was. I dropped the asking price $25 and he came back and asked to drop it another $10. I guess he doesn't know what best price means so I told him he should have offered that price in the beginning so I would not have wasted my time and to forget it, amp is no longer for sale...

I can’t stand when you have a back and forth conversation and one party disappears. I have a cluster for sale on marketplace. I’m back and forth with the guy, I give him the shipping quote and total price. Then he asks for my PayPal to pay and he disappears. Wtf.

I've had at least 4 of those in the passed week or so, both for my Cutty and an audi I have for sale. Asking all the right questions, seems very interested, then drops off the planet.

Had one guy a few months back get back to me a week later after he was supposed to show up. Said he was in a car accident, would be there the following weekend.

Yeah, ok.
