I like that idea, but I think it would look too flashy for what I want. I probably will paint it all black so it blends in.Paint that MSD box blue to match the valve covers!!

Thank you. I can't wait till you get rolling again either. I do enjoy the picture you post.Just went through the whole thread.
Wow.
Good point about the buzzing, I never thought of that. I am worried about putting thing on right side because of the heat. The left corner by were the charcoal box is looking like the best spot. I am not sure how dry it would be there. Have you ever looked under the hood after driving in rain and noticed what is dry and wet? Can't say I have. Not that I drive in rain much, but it happens.Zach,
Love the thread!
Just my $.02 on locations for the coil and MSD box. On my now parts car 79 Monte Carlo I have the coil for my Holley Annihilator mounted on a steel bracket coming off the heater box. My car is a non air car but in your shots of where you have the turbo permanently mounted you look to have some open real estate just left of the transmission fill tube where a coil would blend into its surroundings.
I made the mistake of putting the ignition box in the right kick panel below the dash and the buzzing from unit is all you hear no matter how loud the stereo or exhaust is. When I transfer this system to the 'new' car I'm looking at hiding it behind the right front fender with access to it coming from the cutout next to the battery

Not a great shot but you can see it circled in red.

Nothin says you can't make a little box to go around it? If you ever go to an aftermarket radiator, one with the catch can mounted to it, you could always remove the factory overflow tank and mount it there. I'd make a little sheet metal plate that has the same mounting holes and general footprint of the old tank and mount the box to that, but that's just me. And ditto the buzzing, I was gonna put mine inside as well.Good point about the buzzing, I never thought of that. I am worried about putting thing on right side because of the heat. Thank you. When I was in school I dreamed of building a blown 327 roller engine. Still like the idea, but there are better options now a days.Nice build can't wait to see what tbi setup you use. I'm doing the same thing but with a 302 sbc and blow thru setup.
I thought of that very same thing, but I think the lectronics should stay away from that side because of heat from the turbo and down pipe.Nothin says you can't make a little box to go around it?
