I would unhook the kick down cable and try it. If it's a th350 then you'll be fine. Is the dipstick and tube original to the trans? If it won't shift, pop off the round cover on rear side of trans. Remove the governor and carb clean it. It just slides out. I had one stick from just sitting a month.
I tried it will the kick down unhooked. Same thing. It is the original dipstick and tube. I wonder if they made a special valvebody for the turbo cars? I am going to try and adjust the cable like a 200r4 and see what happens. If that doesn't work I will take the govener cover off.

The older MSDs (not digital) had a loop to cut for 6 or 4 cylinder where the pigtail comes out of the box. Consult the destructions- it sounds like that may be a problem.
I checked the ignition box. No loops cut 8cylinder, one loop cut 6 cylinder, two loops cut 4 cylinder. I have one loop cut. I manually advanced the distributor a little bit and it runs a lot better. I need to set the distributor to what the computer thinks it is at. I tried to use my old timing light, but it just shocks the sh*t out of me no matter what I do.

I will have to buy or borrow a better one tomorrow. I should hang that one on the wall. It is older than I am! I verified the transmission is a 350 turbo with a TV cable. I youtubed how to adjust it. It seems to be set a little different now. We will see if will shift tomorrow night. It is flash flooding here tonight, and I have no headlights. Started to put my fiberglass nose back on. I took it off to get repaired, but that will have to wait. It looks ok, just cracked between the headlight and the left turn signal. I have a nother good one I may paint up this summer. I need to get a little bigger serpentine belt. The one I have on the engine is a little too tight and is chewing up the edges of the belt. I also need to come up with a higher amp alternator. The one I have is not keeping up with the fans, fuel pump, and everything else. There is a car show Friday night I really want to go to. So I am pushing hard to make that. I have Friday off so that helps, but still have a lot to do. Exhaust will be optional!

Does the Sniper need the timing locked out and rotor phased? I know the FI Tech units do. This is especially critical in your sitch!
It does. I had to buy an adjustable rotor. It is in the build thread. I did forget to mention I fixed the RPM, and idle problem. The tuch screen controller was bad. If you wiggled the wires it would go nuts. I swapped it with a good one from a black Sniper. Shhhh, don't tell! I need to get a timing light on it. When I fired it up I did not have one, and now the one I do have will not work.

Man, that's not looking like a glowing review of the Sniper.....:wtf: Here I thought they were spoda be better than the FI Tech, but basically your whole system was junk out of the box. I'd be pissed!
Yep, not impressed. My guess is, they are mass producing them because they are behind and letting the quality control slide. They should be testing every one before it goes out I think.
That's probably why the car had no power. I don't think the tv cable adjustment is going to do anything. Hope you make the show
I drove it after I changed the controller. I hope I can get it sorted out before the show. Kind of up in the air right now. Thanks for the video. That will be next step if it doesn't shift. I have a lot to do tonight we will see how far I get.
