Thank you. It is no were near as nice as the cars you have built and are working on.
Thanks for that. I'm nothing special. Hell, I painted my engine compartment with a brush.

Is that a turbo car ac line going to the drier?

I had to bend mine also, I couldn't figure it why it didn't fit. I think turbo cars have a specific drier.

I did the same thing you did but mine didn't kink.
It is. They are the aftermarket ones that the guy I bought them from had new rubber ends put on. He never used them and went with factory black ones. I bought a new drier for a 87 Turbo Regal. So I am not sure. The kink was my **** up. How close to your down is your line?
You did a damn fine job.
Thank you!

It was a really nice day today, but not a good day for the Monte. First thing that happened when I started the car. The Holley controller would not work at all. Flash between screens and would not do anything right. I said **** it I am going to drive it. I pulled the car out of the garage. I walked around it and noticed my left rear tire.

Apparantly my tire caught the fender lip and cut grooves in the sidewall. Not sure how or when. I said **** it again and I am driving it! I did a burnout on the highway in front of the house. It seemed a little off, but not bad. I got about three miles out side of town. Laid into it coming out of a curve. That is when smoke started coming out of the steering column. That was a new one! So I got on it a few more times. Steering column smoked and seen a little coming out of the hood. Pulled off on an intersection and popped the hood. The engine is running a little raspy and when I rev it smoke smoke comes out of the valve cover breather. So turned around and headed back home. Every time I pushed on the go pedal it would smoke from the steering column and a cloud out the back. Oil pressure stayed ok all the way back. None of my temp gauges worked, but did not show signs of being hot. When I got back home my mom was parked in the driveway in the way. So I crowded the other side of the driveway and my tire grabbed the fender again. Now I know what happened to the tire. Later I had a little time to look at my car. I pulled the up pipe and looked for oil in the cooler and carb hat. The turbo is ok. I ran it with the up pipe off. As soon as I touch the throttle it smokes out the breather and it was a quart low on oil now. I will try and do a compression test on it this week. I said the hell with it, covered it back up, and went into the house. I think I popped a head gasket or blew the b*tch up!

More than half these electronic products out there are absolute junk

Constant failures

The Holley stuff is just as bad as the FITech

Only difference is that Holley knows it and will work with theirs customers

The regulators constantly fail

Puffing smoke out the breather is blowby

bad rings or hopefully maybe bad valve stem seals (doubt it)

Have you smelled the oil? gas smell?

Ouch. Check the compression, dead cylinders you may have.

Got that Series 2 ready?
No. Unfortunately I do not. I need some money for a turbo cam and forged pistons.

When the Holley works, it works well. I think it performs better than a stock 87 intake and computer would. A lot of smoke, but not much pressure out the breather. The oil smells a tad gassy. I was going to Change it when I got back, but glad didn't.

That is the plan Mike. I knew this day was coming, just didn't know it would be today.

I am not using the Holley regulator. With a turbo you have to use a boost activated one. With out being able use the monitor I have no idea what the AFR,coolant temp, timing, are. This is the kind of thing you can expect to happen when you mix 10+ psi of boost and a rookie! Either way it was fun while it lasted.
