Apparently this newer design is all about tying the body to the axle just to eliminate body roll. That it will do and supposedly does increase road feel into the chassis too or another way of saying that it decreases ride quality.

Wonder what would happen if you had both? Standard sway bar to tie the rear control arms together AND roll bar to tie the body down to the axles better.

Very interesting I never thought about that. I bet both together would be like riding on cinder blocks lol. Or maybe a more flexible sway bar that ties to the rear and a stiff bottom one?? Hmmm

So where to start... Removed the old rotten frame and got the body to sit on the new one. Didn't get to snap a picture of it. All the hard work and its going to be hiding underneath the car is a bitter sweet feeling lol. I'm going to be honest the rust underneath isn't all that serious. What bothers me it the rust on the quarters. So once the swap is done I will be driving it up and down but body work is inevitable. A one inch spot of rust in someone else's eyes looks small but to me it's like the rust spot is huge, paint is perfection. So new quarters and a coat of Summit Jet Black is in the midst.

Congratulations on getting the body on your restored chassis. That's a big milestone.

Got the wheels wrapped in rubber and installed on the Olds looks so good. I wasn't planning on keeping the lower chrome trim when done. but the combo looks right. I am currently in need of the right rear chrome quarter panel peice of trim. I'm willing to buy one if any one has one.

Wow the cutlass looks awesome with the us mags! I almost bought the same wheels a month ago for my 87 cutlass but went a different direction....what are the specs on those wheels and tires?
