The boy got's jokes!

He seems to be a purist. Wanted me to put the tired old 305 back in it. I appreciate his view. But this is dad's car. He will have smiles for miles the day he gets to drive it.

Who knows, maybe I'll hand him the keys and tell him to enjoy it!

Working on the 8.8 rear to go in it.

Tell him he made a mistake, it's not LS Swap vs. world, but rather 'LS Swap the world!'

Haha - it's great to see him involved and concerned.

Well between work and domestic tasks around mine, my daughter's and my mother's house I finally got some time on the car.

Not a whole lot done but some little things that get me ready to move on.

The 8.8 rear is in. Put the crown Vic wheels on for rollers. Man they got a lot of backspacing. They will work for now. Pulled the fan clutch off.

Might be able to put the front clip back on soon so I can figure out all the plumbing.

No complaining here. All progress is good!

P.s. You have you’re belt on incorrectly (in case you weren’t aware).

Was to lazy last night to go look at the diagram on the box truck. Was messing around at the end of the night. It's coming off again anyways. Want to replace the cruddy idler pulley and belt tensioner for cheap insurance

So another question. Since my engine came out of an express box truck the power steering had a remote reservoir. Me trying to be frugal, I'm looking for an inexpensive option. I have the one off the box truck, just not sure of a good place to put it. Don't really want to buy a new pump with a reservoir. Don't have the front clip on, maybe I'm missing an idea there. Anybody else have any ideas?

I also bought a truck oil fill tube. It seems loose. I think there should be some kind of gasket on it. Anyone know if it needs one?

Anyways next is hooking up the brakes for the 8.8. Guess I will have to start plumbing the fuel system also.

Man I got a bunch of sh*t to work on and I'm here just staring at it brainstorming!

Make a braket/mount to put it over by the rad support or general area the vapor canister is/was?

I’ve used ones from a Saab and eBay generic ones. They all seem to work. Whatever you use be sure the return fitting into the tank is larger, preferably larger than the the return line. Otherwise it turns into a foamy mess.

You could head off to the pick n pull too and grab a used one. The one with the reservoir mounted on it makes for some easy plumbing.
