I'm not up to date on any of these new systems, But I know some of them, possibly the efi connection system convert things over to using individual coils & when things are said & done, you're running all later model technology on top of your tpi, gen 2 lt, or whatever sort of engine & efi intake you have or can build.
As far as brands, I'd trust anything Holley company based (FAST) or many using mainly later factory type components and wiring connectors. I wouldn't want anything Edelbrock & not comfortable about these offshore brands at all. Motec is a popular system with off road & imports, no personal knowledge there.
With whatever system is used, proper tuning for the system to be in the proper parameters for the sensors to be able to finish fine tuning it is where many go wrong setting things up. Self learning only learns within given parameters.
In general MAF setups can final fine tune for the street better, but speed density systems are easier to tune especially for modified engines. Also in general, late model factory computers have more capacity than given credit for, but aftermarket are much simpler for many to set up and modify parameters.
