V6 3.8L 229/231 CID Engine

can i use a V6 3.8L 229 CID or 3.8 L, 231 CID Engine for my 78 GP ?!

if yes : how can i find one of them and price?...
if no : which one of GM engines what are under 4L is best item to use on a 78 GP ?

I had a 229 Chevy and hated it. The 231 Buick is a way better motor. My son-in-law was in Iraq and said they used a lot of 1980's Malibu's for taxicabs. Might be some in Iran too. You may be better off looking around for one of those.

no , here is Iran some limitation came about american cars after 1979 ... and now we can not import your cars at all.

all of american cars in iran have 350-400-455 engines ... there are 3 GP in iran only :d

Any reason you want under 4 liter? Any of those other motors would fit and be very fast. The 229 would not fit the transmission unless the original was a Chevy also.

for now i have a 400 on my 78 GP ... but i wanna use another engine to help my Economy

ooooooooooofff 20liters per each 100km maybe more ...

all of these cars are for my friends and ... that black trans am is mine(in the first pic) + one 78 gp and 78 camaro (not on these pics and collection)
