Few weeks ago made a junkyard run, snagged a set of jounce bars for the regal, along with a MINT dash bezel and 4 analog gauge pod from a Bonne (that also fits GPs), and a charcoal canister. Installed the jounce bars, GN sway bar, and new bushings. End links were replaced when I did my springs. Car corners a lot flatter now. Now I need a quick ratio box and a jeep shaft and a wheel to get rid of that old broken chewed up one. Oh, also my temp gauge wire broke so I bought a replacement gauge and installed that. Also put a filter in the aforementioned charcoal canister and hooked it up. Gave the car a lil tuneup (adjusted timing, idle mixture, 16" of vacuum. Qjet has a warped air horn, me thinks that's where my other 3" of vacuum went) and it runs pretty well. Still need to adjust the air door tension.

The trans in the granny car is defaulting to second gear. I'm pretty sure it's got a bad shift solenoid. I ordered a kit that comes with both shift solenoids, the torque converter lockup solenoid, and the pressure regulator solenoid. Also includes a new filter, internal wiring harness and gasket. If this doesn't fix it then it looks like I will be learning how to rebuild an automatic transmission. View attachment 87706

Got a link? I am anticipating my 80E is going to have issues from sitting so long.

Stopped by a random yard sale and bought these.

They were from a 1980 Malibu coupe. They had the side and rear glass as well as some trim left hanging around. I guess they sold it to some guy that turned it into a race car.

And you returned to NY? You had freedom for that short time.
Yeah, if you can call it freedom. You still have to deal with the horrendous traffic on the Southern State Pkwy, Jersey Turnpike, Staten Island Expressway....etc.
