Bought a 20 year old used aluminum intake for $290. Better than the $436+ shipping TA has them listed for. Supply and demand I suppose.
This intake won't be going on my running engine, but will be stockpiled away for my other engine, for use *hopefully* later this year.

And yes, $290 is still a lot, but it's only about %60 of new, and TA stuff NEVER goes up on ebay, let alone for this cheap. A good media blasting or maybe paint stripper should take care of that paint.

Lucky b*st*rd! I had a line on one for $200 from a friend of mine but now he doesn't seem to want to sell it. I still have an eye out for a used one but since it's basically the last piece to go on the engine I'm not in a huge rush to get one. Worse comes to worst I'll just order one from TA.

I'd try aircraft stripper on that paint before I used any kind of abrasive.

Media blasting with glass bead will make it look like brand new.
Great score!

Don't leave it bare aluminum though. It will show every fingerprint. Have it powdercoated. Had mine done for $60 and it still looks like new.

They're out there. Dont discount the poston s divider either. Its not as bad as some people say it is. If anything it just needs the center divider milled a bit.

And Tbh flow wise with a very mild engine its really only worth it for the weight savings of 50lbs. I snagged it for my AL motor which will benefit far more from it.
