Make sure you put in some extra clearance, Clearance! (piston to bore should be about .003-004 with those)

On the box it has the recommendation 0.01 (they're forged)

I would love to see a pic of the stance of your car. I have hotkiss suspension on mine also and have front spindles and front brake setup from a Chevy Caprice. I tried to put some drag radials on the rear that were a little wider and they hit the fraimrail! I couldn't even burn em! That was a disappointment cuz they were free!

This pic is without the engine, but the LS didn't bring it down much.

That looks really good! Fills the wheel wells up nice. The only thing I don't like is the low profile tires, No offense but everyone has there own preference on stance and I like a little more rubber.

I love the color! It's a lot darker than most of the ones like it. The windows are the perfect shade of tint too!
Thanks again. No harm no foul on the tires, I ran 245/60's for years!
The color isn't a GM code...it took me awhile to settle on the right shade of charcoal metallic. It glistens in the sun...

What's your opinion on the chrome trim note lower part of the body? I think that yours not having any may be why I think the tires look so different. That may be the thing that's throwing me off?

I picked up a couple of NOS ACDelco distributor harnesses and a Delco 7 pin module for the 85 442. One is the 4 pin harness to the ECM (the tough one to find and pricey when you do) and the radio suppression capacitor one. When they had them, Eckler's Corvette wanted 119.00 for the pair.

I already have the delco pickup coil and grease seal, housing, shaft, lower gear, coil and cap/rotor. Now I can build a complete NOS drop-in distributor from the ground up.

My price for all 3 shipped? Less than $30.00 I made out like a bandit today.

Picked up a reclocked Astro steering shaft from member Slowpoke, got a relay bracket with relays from an S10 and also some SS emblems from a 2002 Monte Carlo SS. Also got a mirror switch from a Regency to use for my power mirrors swap eventually. Not a bad day for parts hoarding.

I bought more Claret interior fabric for the 85 442. I asked for a sample to compare before shelling out any cash, then checked it against the original stuff in the car. Yup. I said "Here's my money!"

Looks better in person. This is some weird fabric. Light hits it one way you can see it as more reddish, another way very dark burgundy to almost brown. Crazy random pattern. One year only like many were.
