This all can be for the Monte but not for it, '78, '81 Pontiac & '79 Olds CSM's. Got them for reference reasons & found out they have more usable info than the Chevy ones. Then I got a fair deal on a used GM Performance intake just because. I could just swap out the Edelbrock or just add it to the '68 & about '76 iron intakes on the shelf.

I finally found one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This browsing stuff sometimes pays off. For over 10 years, I've been searching for an NOS alarm chime module for an 87-88 Cutlass G-body. They came on B-bodies and later J bodies and some other junk as well, but regardless, finding an NOS one is more like platinum unobtanium. Waiting for the other shoe is going to drop. I usually never get that lucky. That's 2 unobtanium pieces I've had an eye out for a LONG time that suddenly appeared in the same week. Who knew "browsing" could work out?

You’ve been looking for this for years and I want to remove mine from my ‘79 Malibu.

Well I’m getting ready to embark on replacing the frame rails. I bought a new welder about 2 years ago, a forney mig flux core 110v. It works great, I love it, but I really wanted a mig that has the option to run gas. Have a little saved up and pulled the trigger on a Eastwood mig 90. Gotta let the wallet cool a little until I can buy a bottle, but can’t wait to get the thing going. I have to stick to 110v for now. My shed is 100 feet or more from the house and doesn’t have electric. I will eventually run a 100 amp sub panel out to it, but that’s gonna be awhile. I almost bought a used 220v mig, but to run that gauge wire or even a heavy duty RV style extension cord out there is probably gone run me over $500. Plus I don’t like the idea of 100 foot 220v extension cord.

Went back to Canfield yesterday to pick these up:

Went through all the stages of buyer’s remorse on the spot; for whatever reason I thought the 650’s had a +6mm offset like the 607’s and 695’s. They do not. Even offset, 9.5 wide with 5.25 inches of backspacing like nearly every other wheel on the market.
After I got home and took a litany of measurements, these should intrude on the upper portion of the quarter panel lip by…. A quarter of an inch.

Since I couldn’t find anything on this side of a wheel with a 8.8 swap, I figure I’ll just roll with it and order axles at the end of the month or so.
