What did you do at work today?

Not surprised to read about your first exposure, I've personally always believed that I had contracted it sometime during the Christmas week in the winter before the official declaration occurred. Problem for me was that it could have been masked by the Cold induced Bronchitis that I had to deal with for most of the winter as well. All i know is that, with each declared "official" outbreak of yet another variant, I become more and more of an hermit. Fortunately my job/employers actually encourage me to stay away from people and I embrace that philosophy whole- heartedly.

Well as of tonight, I'm feeling much better. Really the main issue I had was a horribly painful sore throat. The rest was easy... as long as I can get some sleep tonight, and not be in too much pain tomorrow, I should be in the clear. Again... LOL

When I find an appropriate quality of bubble to live in we're going to sign you up for the manufacturer's second unit.

There is a cough candy out there that has benzocaine in it as a ingredient. The brand name is Cepacol, it is the extra strength version, comes in cherry flavor and has menthol in it as well. The specs on it say that it can provide temporary relief of sore throat pain and adults can take as many as Nine! per day. I have used them and they do work but the benzocaine can mess with your sense of taste.

well, after getting home at 1:45 am after an 8 hr shift of limo driving, got back up 5 hrs later and went to work at Advance and ended up installing 3 batteries in less than an hour. today seems to be battery day

Tried to go to work but this happened after dropping the Jr. Mechanic off at the sitter's.

Killed the truck & set off the airbag. Now trying to find a rental that won't drain my slush fund. One less buck for deer season.
pick up the roadkill, make sausage, sell it, pays for repairs 👍

A great way to start a vacation. I've been too sick about it to post it up. I'm about $1300 in it on parts so far. Nobody's fault but mine. That's the first accident I've caused since like 2004. At least 270,000 miles ago across three trucks. It doesn't make me feel better.

It's going to be $100 out of pocket with the deductible so no need. Now for the rental (if I can find one) it wouldn't cover the estitmated 2 week period.

The plus side for you would be you can still drive it. After the bag & seat belt went off, something in the computer controls said we ain't running anymore & started posting service 4WD, trailer brakes. Won't even register gear selection or understand when to lock or unlock doors. Hope that's just a system control to keep from damaging anything else.

First I can't prove, as it was before anyone had even heard of covid. I was sent to Australia for work for a month. Had a layover in Hong Kong there and back. October '19, and November '19, kicked my *ss for a month when I got home. Doctor kept saying it's just jet lag, people take different amount of time to adjust. Bullsh.... then Christmas of '20, and now...
Bunch of people here got it around that time in 2019 before it was a thing. Put one of my guys at work down for like 5 weeks, bronchitis type symptoms.

My woman got it and then developed a bad respiratory infection that became a sinus infection which stuck around for a while.

I ended up with the delta varient from her since she works with the general public (retail) so who knows what crud the average person is carrying around. I kicked it in 3 days, little home remedy helped.

Everyone is different tho, seems if you have any underlying issues it hits that and amplifies it.
