I got started on narrowing the bumpers. Got the rear cut, welded and ground down. Still need to DA the entire bumper, and apply filler to the bumper. Then should be ready for paint! Plan is to paint them body color.

I decided to narrow them 1 inch per side.

Hope to get to the front bumper tomorrow.

I fixed my climate control vacuum problem in the cutlass today. Turned out to be a bad selector switch leaking vacuum. Also traced all the lines and replaced what needed to be replaced. Went to the yard and picked up some door hinges, vacuum lines, and some misc. trim too. Bought four 6 ton jack stands to replace the fragile 3 ton stands I have.

started and moved it out on the street so I could shovel the driveway. Then did a couple donuts in the snow and backed it up to the top of the driveway again. I really need a garage ! And a heated driveway while I am at it LOL

Well, let's see. Once I snapped out of the GBodyForum vortex this morning, I swapped out my stock lower control arms for a pair of Hotchkis tubular arms. They have been sitting in a box since I Black Friday'd them on Thanksgiving last year. I had pressed out the Hotchkis ball joints on Monday and replaced them with Proforged ones that are +1/2" taller. Oh, and I skipped the 1/4" aluminum spacers that come under the urethane spring pockets, which brought me a little lower yet. All this was possible because yesterday, the bolts to replace my boogered factory control arm bolts showed up from McMaster-Carr. Anybody need a set? I ordered extra because the shipping is the same for one set or five sets. I'll be posting this offer later.
Then I put the 32mm IROC Camaro sway bar back on. Storing parts is so much easier when they're on the car...
Then I decided I could finally put the radiator back into the car (Did I mention part storage?) Of course, I lost two of the radiator pads way back when, but by scouring the internet a few months ago, I found some aftermarket Prothanes. Mods required.
I figured out that they would fit if I cut them down and then drilled a new hole for the mounting pin, because of course, they're universal with the pin centered.
Finally, I put on my spiffy new Gates serpentine belt. Didn't know RockAuto was going to send me a green belt, but, hokay. At least it's made in the USA!
Being January today, it's freaking cold out there, even in the New Mexico sun. Time pack up. But, at least the car has four wheels on it again.
When the S-10 spindles arrive, I will finish the job. Later, I may go with Corvette rotors, but the wallet is now empty.

Changed the front springs to make up for the lost weight and engine setback of the LS swap. Put on the blazer spindles, hubs, and rotors. No calipers yet, it still has the factory 14 inch wheels on it so they wont fit, but it isnt going anywhere yet. Hung the front end on it and bolted the fenders, core support, and header panel together, it will have to come off again, but at least it will come off in one piece. Making progress, very SLOW progress, but any progress is good.

Got my locker installed finally in the 8.5 just waiting for retainer bolt.

Then I mocked up my new Moser girdle cover. I threw in a "posi" tag for sh*ts and giggles

Worked out a deal on a turbo hood and a set of chrome headlight and tallight bezels and a grille. I bought the hood sight unseen, so I'm kinda nervous, but I've bought from this seller before, so I feel confident.
