Installed a jeep steering shaft, all the slop is bye bye. Easy fix and worth the upgrade.

Took the dash out of my parts car for the non ac parts... also sand blasted my 8.5 for the olds. Tomorrow I will be painting the 8.5 then getting all new brakes for it. Once the UMI stuff gets here i shove it the car.

Spent most of the day tracking down a coolant leak. Turns out the heater control valve was leaking at the base. After removal, the heater control valve was in pretty bad shape. I have a small amount of seepage that I need to take care of, and re-route the hose, but otherwise, major catastrophe avoided. I was afraid the coolant was leaking into the engine. Now I can proceed with additional plans.

Put the new wheels on, opened the truck to put the battery back in, removed the coil wire to turn the engine over to build up oil pressure and then fired it up...sounded good.. 😀

yesterday( I work nites for now) drove to work. the monte drives sooo much better with the LSX swap. should of done this 3 years back instead of the 383/700R .
