I had to look up PPWK and justt found out what I do just about everyday....if I had the choice I'd change the window sweeps, PPWK will alway be there but the sun won't be.. 🙂

I found a 600 steering box, we had one sitting on our spare chassis all this time I was looking for one..... 😳 ..they are hard to come by and new they are about $650 but equal to rack and pinion so they are worth the price ....

moved my MAF closer to inlet, trying to lower my IAT. it run"s higher now, 🙁 . there really is not a perfect place under the hood to land the filter /cone. mine is on the drivers side if course , sticking in the rad core , behind the headlight area. still have some more ideas to get fresh air to it.

Hook up wide band o2 censer and my nitrous pressure gauge in the cab, put on my new girdle

i started my car today, 1978 malibu, checked the oil, topped off the fluids. rewired radiator fan and electric choke now all working correctly. now to repair the fiberglass hood and re install the front end parts and make a rear roll pan and custom tail light housings just in time for winter storage. (sigh) maybe next year it'll see some time on the road.
:?

well it was slow today at work so I decided to tackle the window felts. UGHH !! Lowered the window, all the screws came out fine but when I took off the top trim there was a rust bubble the size of a quarter under there right on the flat part of the ledge just forward of the mirror completely hidden by the trim.

SO the rest of my day has been spent digging out the rust with the dremel. Just the outer sheetmetal was rusted, the inner still looks fine. I brazed in a piece of metal then coated it both sides with Rust Convertor. Tonight will body fill and smooth the area, prime then paint and hopefully by Monday I can finally put the window felts in !!

Somedays I don't like working on old cars and their rust issues. Its a fairly simple fix that should last a lifetime but I think the next classic car I purchase will have to come from Texas or Arizona

I was stuck in heavy traffic yesterday and the GP was running hotter than I like so I guess my permacool fan can't keep up with the job any further. I picked up the duel fan from an Intrepid for 450 and installed that today. Now I guess I have to take it on a road trip to test it out... 😀

pressure washed my next 5.3 build.90xxx mile strong runner. heads / cam / intake, planned for now. lookin for about 400 rwhp. also have a 4.8 that's going into the vette in pic.
