if that was towards me no I actually sold a car I had and I got some cash that's burning a hole in my pocket LoL plus my project has been on the back burner for a while

I'm interested in what you think of the brakes after this major change. I have the knuckles and calipers, but don't yet have the coin for new hubs and rotors. Keep up the good work!

Well one thing I considered was that the old style is getting old so its best to go with something that newer plus ive heard maintenance is much easier and less parts but my car is going to be a sunday cruiser and grocery getter

You will be very impressed. When I bought my SS I drove a friends SS with the LS1 rears and stock fronts. That was a big improvement over the stockers in my car. Then I hopped in my other friends ElCo with the Bbody spindles up front and LS1 rears & hydroboost and was very impressed with the stopping power. My car with the Ls1 rears and Blazer fronts stops better than both of theirs and the swap is so simple that it's a "must-have" as far as I am concerned if you plan on driving your car

Took my 86 el camino to my mechanic on roll back Saturday... GP dash and harness from a V8 car is not compatible with my V6 ECM....we don't know what we don't know...in my research no one ever mentioned this incompatibility... since an engine swap was not part of the plan and the harness plugged in for 90% of the connections I never thought about the ECM being a problem....in fact I didn't realize it got information from the dash harness... my mechanic say's worst case we have to go to pre ECM carb and distributor...then I can eliminate the whole ECM mess (I like the sounds of that)....I think the only other thing it controls is the convertor lock up...the new dash and red interior looks awesome....I need some parts from a GP dash is anyone has one they are parting out!

Cam & lifters are in. Timing set & cover is on. Balancer is on.
