What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Took the Regal out for a windows down test drive after some work on the carb today. It was 65 degrees here today, usually below freezing and snow this time of year.

About 2 months ago drove the car into the village and home, parked it, no problems. The car sat for a month and a half since we were in the middle of harvesting and really didn't have any time to go cruising. Went to drive it couple of weeks ago and had a major fuel eruption from the carb venturi and every float bowl opening. Left it as I was headed down south to NC to visit friends and take in some racing.

Took the carb apart today thinking that there would be some crap or debris holding the needle open. Nothing in there, filter clean and the float bowl was spotless. Now the carb was rebuilt 2 years ago with a new needle and seat.
On closer examination, the needle had wear and burrs on its length and hung-up when in the seat. Did a temporary fix by deburing it. So far, so good, but it looks like it needs to be changed out. Likely do an oil change tomorrow as it wouldn't hurt after the flooding.

The coupe has been stranded on the driveway since March when I took the rear axle off to modify the brakes. I had some nice wheels and tires on there, and realized that I was wasting them in the killer sunshine up here at 6000 feet. I tried out the 5th gen Camaro adapters before swapping the old 14" rims back on for storage. Check out post 488355.

What did you do to your G-Body today?? I know there's a lot of us that do stuff to our cars on a daily basis. Lets see whos doing what. Ill start lol.

Today was a big day for my 84 cutlass. I just recently bought it. I can post pics tomorrow, but anyways. It came with 22s. I sold those today, and put on some Pontiac rally II wheels. Gonna paint them when I get a chance. I also got new studs, brake pads, tie rod end, and center link. Just random things that need to be done. Previous owner just wanted big wheels, but didn't do it the right way, oh and I am also lowering it this weekend.

Still no luck with the flexible ducting anyplace local. I need 76-77 Monte Carlo as it looks to be a couple inches longer. Otherwise I have sheet metal screws holding the snout on and I made a sheetmetal air duct to mount the plastic one to for now so it reaches the rad support. Too dark for pics now. Maybe shoot a couple in the AM

Drove it pick up my sticker for my Jeep, I was able to wait til my sticker will only be good for 9 months so I got a $29 reduction on the sticker.

Took the rear 1/4 windows out of 78 Monte... What a pain and gooey mess!!! Anyone have a good way to cut through and clean off this stuff?

Really wondering why I didnt do this earlier ?? Really simple. I guess the hardest was locating a decent orig air cleaner with ducting to start with. Still want to weld the snout on and give it some paint before the snow flies.

well..kinda...
