Replaced the liftgate/tailgate weatherstrip.
Since the preferred early 90s Caravans for a donor weatherstrip are no longer in the local yards, I went with a Chevy Venture van weatherstrip. ...which there were plenty of. That particular weatherstrip appeared to have the most "bulb" to compress, and I wasn't sure how much I needed since the original was hard as leather. It was long enough (took out about 10"), and had to trim the leg on the outer side of the pinchweld at the top of the opening, as the recess is shallower there than the rest of the opening.
Looks like it is going to work nicely as far as sealing the gate/glass, the Venture unit has (like most newer ones) an additional"flap" that lays over the interior trim panels (which I actually like). Little kink in the upper corners, not sure if this is going to be the answer for my car.
I had intended to buy the Caravan repro (OE is discontinued) after trying a salvage one to ensure I was going to be happy with the fitment, may still be a better solution. I priced some new OE tailgate weatherstrips (Navigator, Suburban/Tahoe, and some kind of Jeep) they were all around $120 list
Thought about trying this as well

I did order some window run channel rubber from him, we'll see how that works out next week sometime.
