Joe, thanks for design tips.

For my next rick, I will see how well a 2000 Camaro Torsen and 3.73s slide into a 1980 7.5 axle. Rumor has it, it's a drop-in, but I will post a build on that one when I get to it.

In 1988 GM moved to 28 spline axles from 26. If you mean a 1980 A- or G-body it will require 28 spline axles.

Yes. The plan is to recycle a used set of 8.5 GN axles I had stashed. The Camaro axle is wider.

let us know how it works out. i too have a camaro torsen with 3.42 gears that i'll be swapping later this year. i know the ring gear will fit, i did a 7.625 camaro ring and pinion swap back in '88.

picked up a digital dash from a '92 olds bravada from the local upull yard. i couldn't resist, and wanted to get it before someone trashed it. took it to work today for testing, and it all worked with the exception of two segments of the digital odometer. are people still putting these in
regals?

I have one of these from an early 90s loaded Blazer. How do I test it to see if it works? I also got the pigtail so I can wire it in, but it never occurred to me to use it in a G-body...

Yesterday, my Regal got to the 90,000 mile mark! I got the car 4/4/2014 but I've only put like 5600 miles on the car since I got it. Seems like so much more. Also, my Boston tape had impeccable timing.

Before you "tsk tsk" me, I was looking at the road and filming with my non steering hand.

Absolutely nothing. The car is in the driveway buried under 2 days worth of snow. I've got my garage converted into a powder coating shop, so no room for the car at the moment.

Bent a Spectre dipstick tube to the proper contour today, but during my initial test fit its super sloppy in the block. Has anyone had any luck RTV'ing one in place?
