What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

What was the issue with the windows? It doesn't sound like it was the alarm system brain.

I have a module that interacts with the alarm brain to put the windows up when I hit the remote lock button. The wire to activate the module needs to give a ground signal. Turned out to be a problem with the valet switch for the alarm which killed all the outgoing signals. The window problem was just a bad connection at the connector for the harness . I was looking for new terminals for the connector at the window switch but no luck finding them so that means I have to replace that harness even though the one in my car is perfect except for the terminals....sh*t like that bothers me.

I stopped off at a local wrecking yard and go t the passenger power window harness. Some had got the car before me and cut the drivers side harness but basically left the passenger side intact except for cutting the wires to the motor, I guess they cut them when they removed the window motor. I don't mind the wires bring cut cause I'm wiring in a couple of relays on each side to get the windows to travel up and down a little quicker.

This is my current offender.
1979 grudge race car. Has a big block on e85. TH400 (thinks its a powerglide). 9 inch etc.

No third gear. Pull it out and see. Sounds awesome open via open headers, the solid roller cam just thumps.

Ordered up a new sfi flexplate from summit today to bolt onto the LS. A stock replacement unit would probably suffice, but going with boost i like the peace of mind....especially since i ran a B&M sfi plate on my gen1 for 10+ years with no issues.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Bolting the carb back up I dropped one carb stud spacer that magicly teleported into an alternative universe never to be seen again.

But the teleported back about an hour later after cursing up a storm.

From the carb, through the electric fan, through the shroud, and winds up in between the radiator core and shroud.
:soapbox:

And one more thing...
Everyone go out and buy one of these they are freeeeeeeeenin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dang....hate it when that happens! When i was bolting my new brake booster on i had a nut disappear...finally found it about an hour later tucked in between some column wiring about a foot from where it shoulda been!
