Well my guaranteed by 10:30AM next day air finally showed up at 6:30PM..........YAY more incompetence!

Anyway started putting the new lines together.

Tomorrow off to the cycle shop to pick up some 5/16 spacers so I can bolt it back down.

Yes it's a dead head but for now it will do..........

Yes that was when the shop was great Bill and Merkel were the machinists.
When I seen the so called "machinist" there now buying a torque wrench at the local Harbor Freight it was another punch is da face moment.
I was told Merkel built the engine. The guy I bought it from told me that. Car sat in a garage in Ronkonkoma for a long time. When I first got it the windows fogged up and you could see where the round class winner stickers from National were. Wish he didn't peel them off. If you see an Aztec Bronze 66 Chevy II 100 with a gold gut and black steel wheels at ATCO or Island in Jersey this year, that was my car. The person I sold it to in 95 recently retired, just built a new 13.5:1 small block and may make a few passes for old times sake.

The Neverstart battery died on my 2+2 (the intercom was left on for 3 weeks) and wouldn't come back, so I took it back to Walmart for a free replacement. Battery was a 34N Top post. Walmart guy says "I've never heard of a 34N. We don't have a 34N" I look on the shelf and they have five 34 batteries. He says "those are 34S's" Those won't work. I look at the CCA of my 34N: 800, I look at the CCA of a 34S: 660.. Oh... North and South.

We only drive the 2+2 in the summer, I'll take the free 34S.

Unlike some auto parts stores, there was no "I'll charge the battery for 4 hours and you come back later and we'll see what your options are". Walmart knows they sell crap. "Here you go, try this one, sorry for the trouble".

Say there pal, that's a little vague for a guy with a dozen+ cars...we're going to need a scorecard to keep up with your fleet :)

All meant in good fun

I'm glad they took care of you. I had a very different experience about 8 years ago and I stopped doing business with them over it.

My son and his wife are in Cuba for a week so I went last night to work on my GP while I am there checking on the goats, chickens cats and dogs. I got the power windows and the alarm figured out so when I hit the remote door locks the windows go up. Then went for a swim in their salt water pool and then relaxed in their jacuzzi. This morning on the way back to the city this morning I stopped for coffee and thought I was going to get mugged......but she put it in take out cup.....:)

What was the issue with the windows? It doesn't sound like it was the alarm system brain.
