Got jegs/vision sport stars. Ill get a better pic when I get the 4th wheel, FedEx showed up with 3 yesterday...

got my right stuff detailing rear disk swap half installed, can't say i would ever recommend it to anyone, its instructions are awful at one point it said tq bolts to 25 ft lbs and they broke off before it made it to 20 so i replaced all the hardware in the kit and had to grind the brackets to fit the calipers they sent with the kit, it's AWFUL.at one point the instructions tell you to install a bolt making it inaccessible to toque once u get everything in place so you know it fits, then it was so tight the caliper couldn't slide in the bracket and we had to clearance that, i get that it's a conversion kit but they could even make a kit that fit their own parts. it says to weld tabs onto the axles to bolt the rubber lines to, the kit didnt include them even the the instructions said they were in the box. we got the brake lines bent and tomorrow they should be hooked up then it's put on new master cylinder, get em bled and get this monte on the road by the weekend.

I'm thinking about going up to the ruins of the flint plant and taking some pics with the car where it was built maybe roll past the old fischer plant as well.

Plotting... planning. My 19th birthday is Saturday, and while I was hoping to be able to drive my car for such an occasion, I'm afraid no amount of money could get the car ready in time. Oh well. On the bright side, I'm on track to have to done by the end of October. Sidenote, why the hell is Halloween on a Tuesday? Kids go out Monday night, get all pumped up on Kit-Kats and Skittles and have to go to school the next day. It should be the last weekend in October. Anyway, car should be done by October's end. 😀 I also hope to have some actual wheels and tires (shocks and springs as well) by Christmas. I'll be damned if I'm gonna go another year without doing snownuts. That is if it snows this year. It's Iowa for Pete's sake. It hasn't really snowed in like 5 years. It's freakin me out.

bought 25' of Grote 2 gauge wire to replace the wire I started using 4 years ago that I intended to change. The wire I was using was a cheap 4 gauge wire that I installed for the amps I had in the trunk with the battery in the stock position. When I installed the battery in the trunk along with a ford style solenoid I'm lazy so I used the existing 4 gauge wire and since it worked great my laziness prevented me from changing it like I had planned. That 4 gauge worked great up to this summer, now when the engine is hot it starts the car but drags like the timing is too far advanced and testing shows the 4 gauge wire is the problem. I got the Grote wire at $3 a foot so that is a price I can live with. I would have got the 4 gauge Grote wire since that is a better quality than what was in there and 4 gauge is all my car really needs but no one had that gauge in 25' in stock.

I finally decided to pull my intake manifold off and fix an oil leak that was leaking down the back of the transmission. What I found was about an inch of the back china rail did not have enough silicone to bridge the gap with the manifold. I was a little less stingy with the silicone this time. I will be doing a radiator flush tomorrow to get some old stop leak out of the radiator.

Replaced seat belt lever in drivers side door jamb. Not very exciting but keeps me from feeling like the seat belt is trying to strangle me constantly.
