Put my front shocks on, fixed the transmission leak, (crow foot line wrenches are my new favorite tool), cleaned the burnt atf off the downpipes, and put my Cherry Bomb M80s on. I really need an iceman, or just any aftermarket cross member.

It's a pretty tame cam. Crower Level 3, 276/281, .446/.468, 112lsa.

Stopped by pull a part because I saw an '81 Cutlass had landed. I didn't expect to see a full set of N90's on it! All of the interior trim was broken and brittle, but I did score some lower door panel seals in really good shape, a license plate bracket (can't seem to locate mine), and cut out the filler neck in lieu of me ditching the fuel cell for a GN EFI fuel tank!
I also got some mint headliner clips, and a bunch of misc interior hardware and reference pics for assembly.
FWIW, I have a good 16 gallon cell, and an Aeromotive A1000 pump with 100 micron filter for sell now.

A few small steps on the 88 LS...
The previous owner bolted the trans mount to the cross member, but didn't bolt the mount to the transmission itself. That or used 3/8" bolts that were loose and fell out. Replaced them with the proper 10 MM in the 700R4 and added a poly mount while I was doing it.
Then I fixed the trans cooler, he mounted a tiny one under the passenger floorboard using plumbers tape and zip ties.
Seriously? A 6" x 6" under the floorboard, right above the header ? No air flow.. nice heat source..

And here I thought the Previous Owner of mine only "built" one car. Sounds like his type of handiwork appeared on yours as well. He liked zip ties too like the ones he used to hold the radiator to the core support and the others he used to secure the 5 foot long rubber fuel line to the front sway bar.

I went to my favorite store (picknpull) to check out a 1978 LeMans that's been on the yard since 11/29/17. I figured nothing was left but a frame but I went anyway. I scored a 1 3/8 front sway bar for $32 ;-)

LOL, the "handiwork" throughout the car is amazing! The wiring has been a nightmare to say the least.
But the body is a rust free southern car so worth salvaging.
He put in a new radiator but never hooked the trans cooler to it...WTH?

Just found an E85 distributor in Ottawa. The Monte project is going back on a corn fed diet.
