What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Yesterday had to buy some Allen wrenches to adjust my qjet air door tension. I pretty much tuned out the "mash the go pedal" bog. Air door tension is probably about 90% there, but I think the APT adjustment is coming into play now. I'll leave good enough alone until I can afford the money and time to dig into it further. It's much more of a BaWAAAHH than the BbbbWWAAAAAHHH that it was before.

Today, I bolted my rear bumper the rest of the way back on (long story, had to remove bumper) with some new non rusty/undercoated bolts I scored from a junkyard.

Made some progress on the 85 Cutlass. Water pump is back in, power steering bracket is on, AC condenser removed since the lines were cut off....
Forgot to nab the pulley puller/install tool or buy bolts for the pulley/fan. Guess that will be tomorrow. Besides, was getting thirsty.

LOL everyone always forgets something!!

I limped the Monte into the back yard today where it will rest for the next week until I get my roof replaced. Oh yeah, we had a small wind storm here on Friday afternoon which decided to take 1/3 of my shingles from my roof.... offering them as a sacrifice and scattering them over my neighbors work truck 2 doors over. Thankfully everyone else was still at work. Called my Roofer ( just left on 2 week vacation friday LOL ), next 2 guys have me on a 10 day to 2 week back list. FML. I can do dark, I can do tight small spaces, however I dont do heights well. I still spent 4 hours today tarping off my roof and I am wiped LOL

Finished assembling the 4L80E, just need some compression fittings for the pressure port to transducer line; and I painted the crossmember with some POR-15 (evidently I gave myself a Cindy Crawford mole in the process).

Discovered my new Chinesium not even 6 month old heater core is leaking pretty bad. I checked all the plugs on the motor, dry as a bone. It's leaking from the heater box. I don't have time to replace it, so once it cools down i'm just gonna loop the heater hose together. Annoying, but better than having to pull the motor I guess.

Got my fuel injection almost done. I got my fuel system wrapped up and found that one of the injectors was leaking under fuel pressure. I swapped it out with one off of my spare throttle body, and everything sealed up correctly. I had to add the wire to the start terminal, and dropped the starter to connect it. Once it was reinstalled, I went to crank the car and the bendix would not move at all. Thwarted again.

I did rig up a fuel return for the TBI system, since my tank did not come with one.

This is what $30 in brass fittings gets you.

I installed my new starter and got my new shiny headers installed, i also repurposed a old Zoomie header brace from my race car and made it into a bracket to hold a breather tank on the drivers side, alls i got to do is throw the wheels on, and fire it up for the first time this year..soon
