What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Put the trans back into the crew cab 'bu. Junk shifts and locks the converter like it should.

Did a celebratory burnout. Rolled into it after making a corner, it lit them halfway through first, shifted second, third, locked the converter and continued to roll smoke till I lifted a few seconds later. Not to bad for being turned down and having two big guys in it.

Installed the new LED headlights. Took about 10 minutes to figure out the plug wiring. The car sits lower than stock so I had to basically lay down to get the trim screws out on the drivers side. I came up with a different plan for the passenger side to get my work up to eye level. Putting the screws back in was the hardest part of the job. LED's are SOOO much better than halogen. Added another pic. How the heck was that bulb working?

Continued to set the driveline angles (running out of shims - LOL) and just finished bolting up the torque converter in the wagon. Reassembly continues...

Get ready to hear it from the croud about blinding oncoming driver and the beam pattern, but I completely agree with you I have the same set as you as my low beams and that really is all you need to drive and be able to see great. So I put a set of demon eye LEDs on the inside projector

What did I do to my G body today?

I DROVE IT!!

On my way home from a casual cruise tonight, I ran into a couple of Harley riders with straight pipes hot dogging it off of every light.

After catching a light just as it turned green, I gave Olds Cool a little jam and barked the tires into second as I passed them.
At the next light, I was challenged to a friendly little speed contest to which I shrugged and agreed.

As the light turned green, I pedaled it off the line and then laid into it. By the middle of second gear, they got a real fine look at my taillights as they got smaller in the rearview. I even chirped the tires into third as if to add insult to injury.

By stoplight number 3, I had them asking what the hell I had in there. I told them it was just a 305 with some exhaust.
LOL

Gawd I’m enjoying the s#!t outta this thing already!
😆

I finally was able to coordinate a day off with decent weather and a simple schedule, so.... I put in a fresh set of plugs, new air filter, finished Numbering/ lettering the Dial in numbers, pulled the windshield wiper linkage, and swapped out my sunfire bucket seat for a comfier looking one out of a Grand prix? grand am? . I had to fab up brackets to make the seat work with the Gbody tracks. Close! Sits a little high, but I am good. Pics coming. Goin Racin Sunday!!
