What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Removed the 14s and installed the 15s i mentioned in "what did you buy for your g body today" topic. Unfortunately, the rims on the front won't clear the blazer brakes i have on it. I need a 5/16 spacer to clear.

Finally got the last four body mount bolts installed but I didn't tighten any of them yet. Started measuring and the rear of the body needs to move to the passengers side about 1/4 to 3/8" The real question is how can I accomplish that without taking the body bolts back out? Fun fun

Did you use the alignment holes in the frame and the body? Not being a smart *ss. Genuinely curious. Thinking of lifting the body off mine.

It should slide that far with the mount bolts loose.

I have sort of got my TBI running on the El Camino. I had to pull the thermostat out to keep the thing from overheating, and even without the thermostat it is running at about 170 degrees or so. The electric fans seem to regulate it at about that temperature.

That being said, it runs pretty well with no bucking or popping. After about 5-6 miles, a CEL for the missing EGR solenoid comes on and makes it drop into limp mode. I would just hook it up, but I don't have a single usable intake with EGR that will clear the hood. I may have the computer reflashed to fix the issue or I may take a walk through the junkyard for a different intake that will fit.

Finally a warm day so decided to replace the broken dash with a mint one but needed a color change. I went with the SEM product line. While I was at it , I Removed the old carpet, apply Rustoleum rust reformer then a coat of oil based Rustoleum gloss paint. This weekend I’ll apply some sound deadener pads along with a new carpet with soundproof backing from Rockauto.

Absolutely. Helped a lot but it still has some wiggle room and my rear wheel wells are off just a little.

Slide? Haha, uh, it weighs about 2k pounds so I haven't been able to easily slide it. I was almost thinking of jacking the body up on one side just to take some weight off then push on the other. But when you're only trying to move a 1/4" that gets tough.
