What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Filled the cooling system, drilled and tapped the frame for a clamp to help keep the new stainless steel gas line closer to the frame instead of the pump. Hooked up some new rubber hose and my billet fuel filter. Getting closer to driving it again!

Fired the wagon up, tossed the Mrs in it, and went to vote.

In the process of slowly de-rusting the Camino. Today I upgraded to stainless fasteners for the bumper. When I had to take it off to do some body work a couple weeks ago, it took me a good 1.5 - 2 hours to get the bumper removed because the bolts were rusted to hell. Today I went to the hardware store and got all stainless replacements. Should make it easier to remove the bumper next time I need to.

Looking into the taillight hole. I didn't reuse the rubber bracket that was originally in there

The brown you see in the threads is copper antiseize

The old hardware. In both brackets, one of the bolts came out of their holes (they're just held in with friction and maybe some 32 year old glue). Glad I won't have to deal with these ever again

Today was interesting, this morning went to move the car off the lift and once we had it over in the corner and shut it off the airbag compressor were getting partial power so were making weird noises because the relay was sticking. Then once we got the fuse pulled from that the fog light LED's were powered up and staying on with the car off. So had to pull the wire from the fuse for it because we could not figure out what was back feeding it. But at least I got my wheels onto the tires......

Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on my rear brakes. Started out by wanting to install new parking brake cables, ending with every single piece from rear brake hose back being replaced.

Still trying to figure out why AC delco makes a left hand parking brake lever/arm but does not make a right.

Anyone have any insight on this?

GM Part #00458483/ ACDelco Part #179-2012 is the left arm. I ordered two thinking i could flip it over and make it work on the right side. From what i can tell this is not the case.

GM Part #00458484/ ACDelco Part #179-2013 is the discontinued Right arm.

I have found another source for the Right arm on Fbody restoration sites...

Did a giant standing start through third gear plus converter lockup burnout. Now there are tire cords whipping the wheel well. Strange.

As payback the power window promptly started freaking out. It went halfway up and the window stopped but the motor is still running. The window motor is a couple months old.

I worked on the Regal's 355 and made my heater hoses and fuel line and also made a bracket and mount to hold them

Did station wagon things.

200lbs of anything in a normal muscle or sports car would have resulted in a terminal failure of its suspension.

Except Corvettes because they are designed for 200lbs of awkward lumpy loads in the front.
