I installed some standard length tie rod adjusters to replace the ones I had cut down in haste. Before and after:

Did a redneck toe setting off the frame instead of the body like last time

And, since I was in the garage, I hit the Plantar wart or clump of dead skin on my foot that's been bothering me for months with the 60 grit flap disc on the angle grinder. Ahhhhhh, so much better!

Then, I gave the Pig a much needed bath

I made a little tool to attach to my torque wrench so I can torque my 12 point 7/16" studs under my 565 BBC heads instead of just making them "tight"

Fixed my deadly floppy wheel. It was getting so bad I had to lift the wheel to shift and it would shut the car off if turning anywhere near full lock. The hi-beam plastic spacer thing that goes from the switch to the rod actually fell into the column's upper bowl area, so that's why my hi-beams weren't working.

I used this write up: http://www.elcaminocentral.com/showthread.php?t=27192

Helps to take your own pics as well. It took me about 8 hours on and off, 3 of which were because the stupid f*ckin sh*tty pivot pin remover broke off inside the pivot pin. I ended up using a small bolt and 2 nuts.

The car is a lot more confidence inspiring. Now I just need a wheel that wont slice my fingers off doing quick maneuvers.

Renewed the insurance. But still have expired out of state plates...and a low tire...and no garage. It's shameful.

I gave it a bath and straightened up the center cap that the tire monkey couldn't manage to get on right. Stopped to get gas, and the old dude in the booth came out to chat me up about the Pig. I got on it leaving to give him a little show.

I learned early on, chrome won't get ya home! I used an aluminum piece for years with no issues!!!
