What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

Spent a rainy day in the shop making the car less of a death trap.

Installed all new tie rods and adjusters, idler arm. Also installed the new sway-bar end links.
tomorrow or Monday after work I will finally get the new Gas-A-Just's installed in the rear to match fronts.

Its really nice not being able to watch the center link raise up over an inch towards the K member by just pushing up on it by hand, Yikes.

tried out that spark plug socket i picked up this week,it worked like a charm,my headers aren't the worst to work around but it was 17.00 bucks well spent.i cruised to the other side of Boston for some Mary Lou's coffee.we don't have that around here so it was a treat.

That socket is slick. I may just have to get one.

Temporarily zip tied the cluster in to check vitals on start up. Yes, I know, wires lol!!!

Wasted 4 hours dicking with my oil pump and installing different shims. Tried about 12 combos. ended back up where I started. That TA cover is machined wrong. the gasket surface isn't parallel to the rest of the pump cavity.

went to the fair after getting that mess back together. ate some funnel cake. overall a good day.

I finished up the wiring and the car is just about ready to fire up, I cut off the spring perches on 8.2 rear, cleaned them up to modify a little to weld on to the tube so the spring will be in the proper position. The plasma cutter paid for itself today cutting the perches off without having to remove anything else...The moog 5413 spring is the same free height as moog 5961 cut spring with the F body isolator and is virtually the same spring rate so it should be the ride height I am looking for.... 😀

I took it to my Mom's shop and am going to store it there for a while. I am getting concrete in my shed in the next couple weeks. No more dirt floor for me!
