Got so far, to realize it needs to come back out one more time: AC compressor hits the frame 😭

Looks we're both tackling fuel pump conundrums Steve. I removed the A1000 earlier, changed the 10 micron post filter, and now I'm at a standstill. I have the pre filter hooked to the pump. But I need a different adapter to go from the pump to post filter...View attachment 113862

the instruction for the Fast Efi says that the Walboro pump that comes with the kit does not require a prefilter because the pump has a screen.

Hmmm, I wish I would've read the Fast info. I read somewhere(don't recall the source) that a stainless prefilter from 20 to 40 micron is recommended.

HOLY MACKEREL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replacement gas tank strap makers you DOUBLE SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I will touch up the paint scratches.....

the other thing is that we have a filter on the pick up in the tank

"(The pump included in the EZ-EFIâ„¢ Fuel Pump kit features a built in strainer in its inlet. So a pre-filter is not required.)"

Decent! I'm running a fuel cell so no strainer. I have a new tank, but for some unknown reason my brother in law chopped off the front strap mounts!!!!!! For the time being I'm gonna run the cell until I come up with a solution for the strap mounts.

So basically the new pre filter I just bought isn't needed, blah!!! I'm sure it won't hurt to have it though.

I felt that pain..... I ended up using longer than stock bolts to "pre-form" the straps then ran the stock bolts in.

At least it appears you got the right style. Summit sent me the right part number packing with the wrong part number inside, twice.

I had to end up reusing my old straps for the time being and the old straps with the new tank would not allow me to put strap pads on.

Also had to retap the nuts to install fresh longer bolts to even get the old straps to fit with the new tank.
