Transmission is bolted to crossmember, but I need to straighten the motor out. It's definitely not square and its pissing me off.

Put it back on the ground so I can do stuff in the engine bay and trunk easier. Also took some shameless engine pics, and checked out ground clearance with the deep trans pan.
Gonna try to burn some midnight oil when the kids crash.

I started putting the fuel line together. I am using Russell tube sleeves and adapter nut to use the 3/8 aluminum tubing with an fittings. The angle on the sleeves for the single flare is 37 degrees but the common flare kit is a 45 degree. the 37 degree flare is expensive but the 45 degree will work so it makes it cheaper than using the Russell crimp design adapter...the other advantage is you can cut the flare off and reuse the tube sleeve unlike with the crimp you can only use it once.

Looks we're both tackling fuel pump conundrums Steve. I removed the A1000 earlier, changed the 10 micron post filter, and now I'm at a standstill. I have the pre filter hooked to the pump. But I need a different adapter to go from the pump to post filter...

I took a pause from fuel pump install on the Cutlass(the fuel cell is mounted again) to play on my new hotrod lol. I bought a used Cub Cadet LT1042 from a coworker for a decent price. It definitely makes this yard easier to cut!

Well after having to RE-bend In-Line Tubes fuel lines for them to fit properly. (see Dear In-Line Tube ..YOU SUCK!!)

I finally got them in.

After I did, I didnt like that the exhaust was right there.

There was still a couple of inches between them and it never gave me a problem before, but now that I seen it, it will be driving me nuts.

I would also like to thank the State of New York for finally giving me something I could use as apposed to the headaches they usually give me.

One T-Type style fuel line heat shield coming up!!

I also cut some hose in half to cover the vent line and keep the clamp from rubbing up on the supply line hose.

Now to go muscle the tank in.............
