Installed that g force x memeber finally. Took some mild persuasion with a big deadblow and had to hog out rh3 drivers side frame holes (passenger were fine tho...) But it's in. :D
Also found a way to keep my engine from spitting the crankcase filter out. Credit for idea goes to the 17ish year old dude at O'Reilly's. View attachment 125455 View attachment 125456

The oil will dissolve the rubber band,

Make a rubber band out of a bicycle tire.

The rubber used in tire tubes are chemical/salt resistant and do not break down

Got the wiring most of the way done, so was able to see that the backup wiring is working. Got both wires run off the wire up to the column that will go to the head unit and the reverse switch. Final thing is to wire the reverse switch and she can go back together, but had to help the mechanic on his 1st gen talon before I left for the the night.

I dropped a large, street lamp on the drivers back corner and cracked my tail light and the rear spoiler. Horrible. All considered, I got off easy, no damage to bumper, rear quarter, trunk etc...The worst part, if the damage to the car wasnt enough, the light was something I had recently finished and was planing on hanging in the driveway and ceramic housing shattered. Double fail.

I have a gift certificate to Dixie Restoration...they can expect a call from me today!

Not updating my build thread [yet] because I just ran all the wiring loosely for the new sound system to decide how I want to route it all, hooked it up to power and, SHAZAM, this thing is going to sound good. Of course adding the Sub out back and the Components in the doors make the most difference [duh!] but I am still amazed at how much more fill sound comes out of these dinky dash JBLs. I have 300Hz blockers on them and you have to mount them on the bottom side of the dash mounts because they are otherwise too tall [just drill the holes out and put slip nuts under on the speakers] but they are like 2X what I remember coming out of those dash speakers. Just have them running off the 45W head power. 120W running to the components in the doors and 6x9s out back. Sub has its own integrated 300W amp.

Had to sit on the floor, crank the tunes, turn the wheel, and make VAROOM noises [interior is still gutted ]. Headliner is next.

Anyway, I know how I want to route everything now AND I'm going to be pretty happy with this, me thinks!
