Alternator came in after what seemed like the longest week ever. Top post isn’t threaded so I ran and got hardware for that. Installed the cleaned up mounts for the AIR pump first.

Then mocked up the upper brackets and installed the alternator. Everything has to go in loosely and then tightened once it’s all lined up. I was able to tighten up the tension on the belt and get it all in correctly.

Tomorrow I need to put a new eyelet on the cable coming from the battery as the stock one is too small for the post on the new alternator. Otherwise everything looks to fit and work together well. Tomorrow I’ll update with finally install and start and see how it works.

Never assume a part comes with anything attached to it. now that's it's warm outside, 24 hours will be long enough to let the rtv cure. go back and snug the bolts and it'll be good.

I am still going to be looking thoroughly at something before I buy it.

Any way today I just got finished putting the Fan Shroud back on, Anti-Freeze in, So Far Belts are on tight enough and no leaks or over heating, I think I am good there 👍 👍 .

The New Dimmer Switch I plugged in to it's connector, I don't have a Wrench small enough to take the bolts off the old one. Either way I still have no headlights. After doing alittle shake and Snug on one of the running/turn signal lights It came back on but the one on the other side went off. (These are the Yellow/Orange lights one on either side of the Grille that I speak of. The Lights on the side of the Headlights work fine). Definitely a Short in the Wiring somewhere, and Electrical is not my Forte.

A short (pun intended) electrical lesson.
You do not have a short. Short circuits will blow a fuse, blow sparks, or melt wiring and catch fire. Think of a short circuit as the electricity taking a short cut back to the battery, instead of to it's intended destination.
What you have is a bad connection, and/or a bad ground. That is known as an open circuit, where the electricity cannot reach it's destination. It is like having the wire cut, or the switch turned off.
A closed circuit, is like a switch turned on, where the electricity flows safely to where it is supposed to go.
