Got the engine and fender put back on the Gutlass project, making small steps to getting her back on the road
Quick tip: the connections are likely corroded/have a film on them. Pull the connectors, wire brush the terminals, put a little regular grease inside the connector cavities, and reconnect. The grease is conductive, and will help prevent problems down the line. Since you can't really clean the terminals inside the connectors, you might have to rock them/disconnect-reconnect a few times to get good contact.
This is something you can do, no need to pay a shop an hourly rate for this.
, anyway I can't twist the light and connector closed all the way or it kicks off. Best way I can explain it.
I have seen on a couple of cars that the ground leg of the socket gets worn and cracks, when the wire bends a certain way it no longer makes a connection. MAY require a socket replacement.
did some more miles on it today,i actually found there's a spot between normal and max where the a/c's it's coldest.was a good find.with the sun going down on the way home it loved the chilly air tonight. 😎

Ordered some drill bits #60-80 to be able to drill the idle jets or whatever they're called. Not sure this counts as a baby step, but it is THE enabler to getting the damn carb back together so I can see what else is wrong with its calibration.
it's an aftermarket gauge pod and shadow box from Dixie. What kind of gauge cluster is that?
